Website Not Working (Client-Side Troubleshooting)

Questions to ask the customer:

  • What is the website/landing page URL that is not working?
  • What exactly happens when you open it (blank page, error message, endless loading)?
  • Is it happening for everyone or only for you/on one device?
  • When did it start and what changed recently (new plugin, edits, domain/hosting changes)?

Procedures:

  • Confirm the exact URL and try opening it in an incognito/private window.
  • Try a different browser (Chrome/Safari/Edge) and a different device (phone vs computer).
  • Try a different network (mobile data vs Wi-Fi) and disable VPN/ad-blockers temporarily.
  • Hard refresh the page (Ctrl+F5 on Windows / Cmd+Shift+R on Mac) and clear the browser cache if needed.
  • Check if only a specific page is down: test the homepage, another internal page, and the landing page URL.
  • If the issue happens for everyone or shows server/DNS-related errors, collect screenshots + time + location and escalate to technical support.

Priorities:

  • High (1h): Website/landing page is down for everyone, checkout/forms are not working, or leads/sales are being lost.
  • Medium (1 day): The issue affects only some users/devices, or only specific pages/features are failing.
  • Low (2 days): Minor visual glitches, intermittent loading issues, or non-urgent performance improvements.
